Alexa on Raspberry Pi

Recently I have been seeing a lot of ads about the Amazon Echo, and was really curious on how it works.  I have been using Amazon for many years now, I utilize everything from Prime, Prime Now and even my Dash buttons throughout the house.

With how much I use Amazon, I still wasn’t ready to shell out the money for an Echo or Dot because I also have all the Apple products and not everything would sync up like I would like. Yesterday I came across adding Alexa to my Raspberry Pi.  Below is a link to the tutorial I used and some hardware that I needed.  This took me about 25 minutes, this is a perfect weekend project.

Equipment:
Raspberry Pi 3
USB Microphone
Powered Speaker
